For pilgrims
A pilgrim center has been established in one of our buildings. Pilgrims are invited to stay there for more than one night, to see the sights of Merkina, to participate in the cultural and artistic activities of the Merkina Factory.
Camino Lithuania
In cooperation with the Varėna district municipality, we aim to make the Merkinė manor house the main resting point of the Camino Lithuan (St. James) road.
In Varėna municipality there are even 2 attractions relevant for pilgrims - Merkinės Švč. Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Liškiava church and monastery ensemble.
Lithuanian pilgrim routes connect to St. St. James's Way, which continues in Poland and Germany, and then connects with the Saints of France, Portugal, Italy and, of course, Spain. Jacob's Pilgrim's Ways.
