Vytaras Radzevičius' summer restaurant in Merkinė
"Pans of the World" is the summer restaurant of traveler, journalist, and cookbook author Vytars Radzevičius, located in the Merkinė manor, on a hill above the confluence of the Nemunas and Merkis rivers.
Here, recipes discovered during travels, food traditions from different countries, and the nature of Dzūkija come together under the open sky. The flavors of the world simmer in the pots, people bustle around, and one of the most beautiful landscapes of Merkinė opens up from the hill.
"Pans of the World" is not a place for formal dining. You won't find white tablecloths, table service, or soft music playing in the background. You will find a lively summer courtyard, the smells of food, conversations, laughter, and the freedom to sit wherever is most fun at the time.

The world in one yard
The idea for "Pans of the World" was born from Vytars Radzevičius' travels and his desire to share the flavors he discovered there. The menu is inspired by cuisines from around the world, street food culture, and real encounters with people at their everyday tables.
Each dish tells its own story - about the country visited, local traditions, an unexpected ingredient or recipe brought back from a long journey.
Tastes change, pots are filled with ever-changing dishes, but the most important thing remains: simple, heartfelt food and the joy of sharing it.
Food under the open sky
The summer courtyard is self-service – both for food and at the bar. Choose your dish, find a place at the table and spend your time as you wish.
The food is prepared right there, and a wood-fired pizza oven is fired up in the center of the courtyard. Fire, smoke, and summer air become an integral part of the cuisine at "Pasaulio puodai".
We are outdoors, so the rhythm of life in the yard is dictated by nature. Sometimes the sun shines, sometimes the wind picks up or summer rain falls. We can't control the weather, but we always try to keep a good mood.

Events and summer meetings
In summer, the Merkinė factory manor becomes a lively cultural and meeting space. It hosts one of the most anticipated events, "Opera with Jeans", where classical music sounds freely and unexpectedly, and the ancient day "Samanas", which brings together lovers of Dzūkija culture, history, archaeology, crafts and culinary heritage.
The summer program is complemented by concerts, heart-pounding slams, art and photography exhibitions, education, lectures, craft fairs, and meetings with creators.
During the events, the courtyard of "Pasaulio puodės" is filled with music, flavors and people, and dishes from world cuisines become an integral part of the celebration. We announce upcoming events, special weekends and special menus on the Merkinės Fabrikas website and social networks ( Facebook , Instagram ).

How to get here?
By car
We can call Merkinė a crossroads not only for cities in Lithuania, but also in Poland and Belarus. Getting around by car is convenient: from Vilnius or Kaunas, it is only an hour and a half to Merkinė, and from Druskininkai or Alytus, about a half-hour. Travel with a group of friends, and the trip will no doubt feel even shorter, as well as contribute to a more sustainable environment.
By bus
Intercity buses travel between Merkinė and the cities of Vilnius and Kaunas. These routes include Prienai, Alytus, Senoji Varėna and Druskininkai. When travelling by bus, take a bicycle with you; Dzūkija National Park offers several bicycle routes.
By train
We look forward to seeing you at Merkinės fabrikas, arriving by train on the Vilnius–Varėna route. The train stops at Valkininkai, Matuizos, Varėna and Marcinkonys. The town of Merkinė is located 25 km from Marcinkonys, an easy trip by bicycle.
